Mark Howell

Ph.D., is the director of Winterville Mounds (2006–present), a 12-mound Mississippian Period site and museum in the Mississippi Delta. Prior he taught Music History in New York, at Fordham University (1999–2006) and Hunter College (1999–2004). From 2010-2014 he was a Senior Research Fellow with Topoi 1 in Berlin. He currently co-edits a book series on music archaeology, Flower World: Music Archaeology of the Americas. Mundo Florido: Arqueomusicología de las Américas.
